About founder, Mikaela Lee:
Instruments: Piano, Cello (Beginner level), & Violin (Beginner level)
I was a piano student for 12 years and have been a teacher for another 10. I began playing the piano when I was only 6 years old, though I also have experience with the violin, bass, and cello.
I began taking lessons for violin, bass, and cello in middle school. I played all 3 in orchestra and participated in competitions and festivals throughout high school. After high school, I continued cello and picked the violin back up a few years later.
Throughout all my years as a student, I participated in Texas Music Teachers Association (TMTA) competitions, theory tests, and ensemble groups each year. From 2011 to 2013, my piano teacher prepared me to teach piano and hired me as a student-teacher under her.
After graduating high school, I continued to teach piano while attending The University of Texas at Dallas, where I obtained my degree in 2017. I am now 26 years old and have been teaching for over 10 years. I am now a member of TMTA and can offer my students the same activities I participated in!
I have always had a passion for teaching and children — which is why I never stopped doing it once I started. I have experience teaching every age: from 3-year-old children, all the way to adults in their 80s.
